Where do buah fruits come from?

The idea of our two founders was to bring the intense fruit flavor that you get from fruit in southern countries to Germany. The fruit in our supermarkets is usually harvested unripe so that it survives the long journey to us. We achieve the intense taste of our fruit because we use really ripe fruit that has been able to fully develop its nutrients, vitamins and taste. However, these fruits need a certain climate and more sun than is available in Germany. That's why we source our fruit from Mexico, Morocco or Tunisia, for example. Of course, we try to keep transportation routes as short as possible.

The quality of the fruit varieties is our top priority. We select our suppliers and production sites carefully and make sure that each variety grows in its home region.

Where is buah fruit produced?

Our different types of fruit are bottled and packaged within Germany. Most of them are lovingly handcrafted and produced in social institutions.

Why are only some buah fruits certified organic?

Many of our buah fruits are already certified organic. Of course, we would like all buah fruit to be certified organic. But the range of certified organic, freeze-dried fruit is unfortunately not yet very large and with the quantities we need for your daily orders, it is not easy to find a suitable supplier. However, we are always keeping our eyes open and as soon as we find something suitable, we will switch to certified organic fruit.

Currently, we can already offer our banana, raspberry, mango, wild blueberry and coconut chips in all packaging units in organic quality, as well as our strawberries in the small snack packs and our fruit balls in all flavors.

Why actually freeze-dried?

Freeze-drying is the magic formula that makes it possible to preserve fruit and retain all its natural vitamins, minerals, nutrients and flavors. Freeze-drying also makes buah fruit so crunchy and long-lasting. We explain exactly how this works here. Incidentally, freeze-dried fruit is lightweight due to its low water content and saves a lot of CO² during transportation compared to conventional fruit.
