Sweet almond trees occasionally bear bitter almonds, which are generally indistinguishable from sweet almonds on the outside. This natural content is only a few percent in most almond varieties and is not harmful to health in this quantity. 

Despite careful quality controls, it is therefore not possible to completely rule out the possibility of the odd bitter almond finding its way into one of our fruit and nut mixes. However, you would immediately recognize them by their very bitter and unpleasant taste. If this rare case should occur in your case, please contact our customer support.
